SIEMENS A&D
consolidates its position in process automation with the acquisition of Controlotron.
Controlotron and Siemens have signed an agreement whereby Siemens is to acquire the business activities of Controlotron, Hauppauge, New York, USA. Controlotron, a leading manufacturer of ultrasonic clamp-on flowmeters, employs a staff of around 120 and has a global sales network that is to be integrated into the Siemens organization. Take-over of the business activities is planned for May 2006.
