+ + + Company News + + + News + + + International Events + IDS Expands International Business - New Partners in Central Europe
With a staff of eighteen specialists, TDC in Prague provides a broad experience and know-how for the implementation of water projects. Since 1994, TDC has supplied control systems to the Prague waterworks; since 1993, TDC has delivered a flood monitoring system for the Eger river and its tributaries. With a staff of thirteen employees, TDS in Ostrava is particularly active in the gas supply area; they have designed and delivered the control system for the regional gas utilities in Southern Moravia. Apart from expanding the market, the acquisition of TDC and TDS is part of a wider strategy: TDC produces small-range control systems which could be a suitable complement of the IDS range of products. The product developers from TDC and IDS have already met for discussing the possibilities in that area. "With our IDS branch in Bratislava, our new Czech partners, as well as Microtech International Ltd., our VAR partner in Poland, we are ready for an expansion of our business in Eastern Europe", says Norbert Wagner, Director of the International Energy Division of IDS Ettlingen. He expects that the close cooperation between TDS, TDC and IDS Bratislava, who have been operating on the Czech/Slovak market for ten years, will establish a solid foundation for IDS's future success in the business.
